Our story
From one crane to two states
Superior Cranes was founded in 2012 by Managing Director Lachlan Stinson, a crane operator and rigger by trade, with a single crane in Brisbane. The business grew the way good crane companies do: by turning up on time, doing the job safely and getting asked back.
Today we run 30+ cranes, from 13 t city cranes to a 350 t Liebherr, with more than 70 operators, riggers, doggers and support crew across depots in Brisbane and Wagga Wagga. Cranes and people move between the two, so big projects are always covered.
Our promise has not changed since the first lift: the job done right, done safely and done on time.

Into the Riverina
Superior Cranes Wagga is established, with a depot in Kooringal.

A 350 t Liebherr and three new LTM 1120-4.1s join the fleet.

Lachlan Stinson
Managing Director | Founder
Lachlan founded Superior Cranes in 2012 and has led its growth from a single crane in Brisbane to a two-state operation with 30+ cranes and more than 70 staff. A crane operator and rigger by trade with 20+ years on work sites across QLD and NSW, he still runs the business from the ground up.
