City & small crane hire
Small cranes, tight sites
When the street is narrow, the driveway is steep or the backyard is the only way in, our 13 tonne city cranes and compact Frannas get the lift done without the footprint of a big crane.

City & small cranes
Built for the hard-to-reach jobs
Our Kato MR-130R city crane and Tadano GR-130EX are compact, all-wheel steer cranes that set up in far less space than an all-terrain crane. They are ideal for air conditioning units on roofs, pool and spa lifts into backyards, steel in laneways and machinery inside buildings.
For a little more capacity we have the Franna AT20 and the two-axle Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1, a fast-setting 35 t slew crane that is still small enough for suburban streets.

Questions
Common questions
Can a crane get into my backyard?
Often, yes. City cranes are compact and can reach over a house from the street. Send us the address and photos of the access and we will check it, or come and look.
Do I need a permit to lift from the street?
If the crane sets up on the road or footpath, or the load passes over a road, a council permit and traffic control may be needed. We will tell you what applies and can arrange it.
How much does it cost to hire a small crane?
Small crane hire is usually charged by the hour with a minimum hire, plus any permits or traffic control. Send us the job details for a fixed quote.
