100 tonne class

Long reach on four axles

The LTM 1100-4.2 is the crane for lifts that need reach and height more than brute capacity. Its 60 m main boom on four axles gives long reach without the set-up of a five-axle crane.

It is a good match for structural steel and roof plant, precast panels, and plant and machinery installs: loads too heavy or too far out for a 70 t crane that still do not need a heavy lift crane.

We have one LTM 1100-4.2, so for a particular date call early. If it is booked we will tell you what else we can send.

Typical work

What a 100 t crane lifts

Structural steel and roof plant

Beams, columns and air conditioning plant lifted up and over a building, with the boom reaching where a smaller crane cannot.

Machinery and plant installs

Presses, tanks and plant lifted into sheds and plant rooms, inside and out.

Precast and building modules

Panels and modules placed on slabs and footings.

Civil and bridge works

Culvert units, barriers, pits and beams within the crane's chart.

Utilities and water

Plant and equipment for substations and treatment plants.

Night and shutdown lifts

Retail, rail and plant shutdown lifts outside normal hours. We take bookings 24/7.

Where it sits

Is this the right size?

A bigger number is not always better. Capacity falls as the boom goes out, so the right crane is the one whose chart covers your load at your radius. If the 70 t chart covers your lift, you do not need the 100 t. If the 100 t chart only just covers it, look at the 150 t.

Other crane sizes

Before you book

What to send us

Four things let us size the crane and quote. Photos help with all of them.

01

The load

Its weight including rigging gear, and its size and shape. If you are not sure of the weight, say so and we will help work it out.

02

The reach and height

How far out from the crane the load must be placed, and how high. This sets the crane size more than weight does.

03

The site

Address, access for a four-axle crane, ground conditions and any overhead lines.

04

The date

When you need the lift, and whether it has to happen at night or outside normal hours.

Questions

100t crane hire in Brisbane

How much can a 100 t crane actually lift?

Its full 100 t rating is only available close in, with the boom short. Capacity falls as the boom extends and the load moves out. Send us the weight and the radius and we will check them against the load chart. Our guide How to read a crane load chart explains why.

Which crane is your 100 t crane?

The Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2, a four-axle all-terrain crane with a 60 m main boom. Its page has the specs and the load chart: Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2.

Is the 100 t crane based in Brisbane?

Yes. It works from our Tingalpa yard. We have one, so call early for a specific date.

Does the crane come with an operator?

Yes. Every Superior crane is hired with an experienced operator. We can add doggers, riggers and lift supervision when the lift needs them.

What if I need more than 100 t?

Our Grove GMK5150L (150 t) and a Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 (230 t) are also based in Brisbane. See 150t crane hire and heavy lift cranes.

How much does 100t crane hire cost in Brisbane?

It depends on the hours, the crew, any permits and how the crane has to be set up. Most jobs have a minimum hire. Send us the details for a fixed, itemised quote.
